Why BPT for
pediatric ADHD?

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends BPT, alongside school-based interventions and medications, for school-age children with ADHD.

ADHD is a condition of variable self-regulation; meaning, a child’s ability to control their impulses comes and goes. Parent training provides caregivers with the science-backed skills so that children can “borrow” from the parent to extend their attention for tasks, regulate their moods, and use friendly behaviors.

Medication is effective, but doesn’t fully address ADHD complexities, necessitating a comprehensive approach1

School-age children who receive both stimulant medications and behavioral interventions have significantly better outcomes2

A multi-disciplinary team

Clarity Pediatrics was established in 2022 by pediatricians to address the gap in access to evidence-based pediatric ADHD care covered by insurance. Our clinical team is comprised of licensed clinicians who have specialty training working with children and families and delivering ADHD treatment, and all clinicians receive ongoing training from leading ADHD experts in best practices in ADHD care.

“Behavioral Parent Training should be the first thing we are doing for our school age kids with ADHD. A reliable insurance covered option for BPT, like Clarity, simply doesn't exist for families of children with ADHD; in the past, it's been sheer luck if they can even find a therapist who fills this void.”
